Position Overview
We are seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable Youth Childcare Teacher to join our team. This part-time position involves directly supervising children, supporting academic and enrichment activities, and ensuring a safe, positive, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children (ages 5–12) during program hours (before and/or after school).
- Assist with homework help, tutoring, and enrichment activities (creative writing, art, public speaking, etc.).
- Support daily routines including snack time, group activities, and dismissal.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment by managing group behavior with positivity.
- Collaborate with program staff to deliver creative and engaging experiences.
- Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a school, camp, childcare, or youth program setting.
- Energetic, dependable, and passionate about youth development.
- Ability to lead small groups in creative or educational activities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must pass a background check and provide references.
- High school diploma required, some college in education, child development, or related field preferred.
